INTEGRATED ORBITAL SANDER FOR AUTOMATED SURFACE TREATMENT 

The FerRobotics AOK 601 is a finely tuned system package based on the Active Compliant Technology (ACT) and a specially designed electric random orbital sander optimized for robot use. A fully integrated servo motor provides the drive. This integrated complete solution automates the industrial sanding process with individual control of all process parameters: rotation speed, contact force and feed rate. The system design is compact and robust. The enormously durable sander is designed for industrial use and delivers twice the output of standard devices, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It requires little maintenance and is universally compatible with many abrasives.

  • Active Force Compliance end-effector with forced and random orbital mode for sanding, polishing, surface finishing.
  • Interactive compensation of surface tolerances due to a stroke of 48 mm guarantees consistent contact force. No adaptation of the robot tracks.
  • Integrated gravity compensation. The applied force remains constant even with changing orientations. No additional programming required in the application.
  • The high-tech end-effector is industry-proven and suitable for large surface sanding of almost all shapes and materials.
